The saintly picture of someone giving themselves over to purely & compulsively helping others while their own lives are in a shambles is not “good person behavior.”  Not unless your version of being a good person means you have to be a wreck to fulfill these saintly obligations.   Don’t be fooled.  Take care of you (unless you have little babies then THEY DO come first!) and then you can truly give and give and give.
